Account and Data Deletion
Fate Loom
How to delete your account in the app
1. Open the Fate Loom app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Find the Account section and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm.
Your session ends immediately. The account itself is deleted after 30 days — that period is there so you can change your mind.
How to change your mind
Within those 30 days, simply sign in the same way (VK ID or Google) and your account comes back exactly as it was: balance, subscription, streak. There is no separate "restore" button — signing in is the restore.
After 30 days, restoration is not possible.
How to request deletion without the app
If you have uninstalled the app or lost access to it, write to support@fateloom.app with the subject "Account deletion".
Please include:
- the sign-in method you used — VK ID or Google;
- for VK ID — a link to your VK page (vk.com/id…) or its numeric id; for Google — the e-mail address of the account;
- the approximate registration date, if you remember it.
If you signed in with Google, send the request from the address linked to the account where possible, so we can confirm the request comes from the owner. If you signed in with VK ID, or sending from that address is not possible, we will ask follow-up questions.
We handle such requests within 10 business days and confirm the deletion by e-mail.
What is deleted
- sign-in links: your VK identifier, your Google identifier and e-mail address;
- Thread balance, Pro Subscription, daily streak, referral data;
- questionnaires;
- stored interpretation and question texts;
- session tokens.
Data held only on your device — questionnaires, reading history, settings — is removed together with the app.
What is kept, and for how long
Payment records — payment system, transaction identifier, amount, currency, status and date — are kept for 3 years from the payment date, as required by accounting rules, refund obligations and limitation periods.
After the account is deleted, those records contain only an internal account identifier and the payment system's transaction identifier. They hold no e-mail address, no name and no VK identifier — the sign-in links are deleted, so a payment can no longer be linked to a particular person through our database.
Records of document acceptance and consents given — version, date and time — are kept for 3 years. Without them we cannot demonstrate that past processing was lawful.
A marker that this sign-in method has been deleted before — kept for 12 months. It is not an identifier or an e-mail address but an irreversible cryptographic fingerprint: it cannot be used to work out who you are, nor to check whether a particular person has an account with us. It exists for exactly one purpose — to stop one-off signup gifts from being collected repeatedly by deleting and recreating an account.
If you register again within those 12 months, the account is created normally, but the welcome Threads, the signup premium days, the second sign-in link reward and the enhanced first-purchase bonus are not granted.
Important
Deletion is irreversible: once the account is finally deleted, unspent Threads and any unused subscription period are cancelled (clause 6.8 of the Terms of Use). You can get a refund for unspent purchased Threads and an unused subscription period — request it before deleting your account; the procedure is set out in the Purchase, Payment and Refund Rules.
If a subscription with auto-renewal was set up through an app store or a payment service, deleting your account does not turn auto-renewal off — turn it off where you subscribed.
